The winning streak of NIC Peshawar’s startups continue as two of our Startups bagged three awards in P@SHA ICT Awards 2019. Aprus Technologies won the Award in the Health and Wellbeing category and secured Runner up Award for the Startup category. While Darewro bagged the Runner up award in the Retail and Distribution category. Both of these startups have shown a great promise of growth since their inception.
Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES (P@SHA) is a trade association representing the IT and ITES sector. The annual P@SHA ICT Awards aims to provide recognition to software and services companies of Pakistan by providing them local and international visibility and opportunities. There are 9 main and 37 subcategories in P@SHA ICT Awards.
The entrepreneurial ecosystem is termed to be a “competitive landscape” for a reason. The consideration of one’s competition navigates the startup in the right direction. In this regard, the startup competitions and awards play a very significant role for the startups to identify their strengths and weaknesses in their competitive analysis. These competitions aids the startups with visibility, networking opportunities, validation, access to investment and feedback.
The startups of NIC Peshawar are on a winning streak this year. Two of our startups bagged top two of three positions in the Startup Cup 2019. One of our startup made it to the finals of Uber Pitch 2019 and will be pitching in next month while another of our alumni startup won Watsathon 2019. These achievements show the impact NIC is creating in the entrepreneurial and startup ecosystem of the region.
