With a vision to improve lifestyle, “Atom by Atom”, Nano Hive is one of the pioneer startups working on production and commercialization of Nanomaterials in Pakistan. According to a recent estimates by European Commission, the global investment in this sector has gone up to a quarter of a trillion USD and is growing. Many journals are predicting that Nano Technology would completely alter the future of many industries, health and medicine being on the top.

In just a few months, Nano Hive has emerged on the national industrial and startup map, creating a solid footprint. Besides being the winner of Parwan-e-Khanum 2019, they have qualified the regional rounds of Uber Pitch and She Loves Tech 2019 and showcased their innovative products in the finals of these national level competitions.
Right now, Nano Hive is actively working on two products, hydro-phobic fabric and thermal insulating paint, using the in-house produced nanomaterial. Both of these products have a great commercial aspect and very good scope of scaling up. The R&D work on both of these products is almost complete, now the team is working out viable costing and mass-production models.

NIC Peshawar helped the founders of Nano Hive to convert their idea into marketable products. Shehroz Rashid, one of the founders of Nano Hive expressed his gratitude to the team of NIC Peshawar,

“We are extremely thankful to the team and mentors at NIC Peshawar for helping us understand the industrial applications of our innovation and how we can commercialize it in the most effective and efficient manner.”

Nano Hive envisions to establish a state of the art R&D facility for commercially viable Nanomaterial products. Pakistan imports Nano-material for numerous industrial needs, Nano Hive can invert this trend by locally manufacturing these material making it accessible for industries. There is a need to promote and support such innovators for efficient and sustainable utilization of our natural resources.
