Chris Myers is the co-founder and CEO of BodeTree, one of the top players in the Franchising facilitation industry. In an interview for Forbes, he said, “I’ve learned that the seeds of disruption need more than just intent to germinate. They also need a natural opening in the market that can be exploited.” After the financial crises of 2008, the franchising industry observed a boom in the franchising model of business expansion. This boom in the franchising model of expansion paved way for companies like BodeTree and Franchise.Pk to emerge.
The idea of Franchise.Pk was conceived with a vision to help the local and indigenous businesses to expand and scale without any geographical boundaries. The founders provided a platform to the business owners and investors to connect. Various International, national as well as local brands are using this platform and expanding their businesses.
When the founders landed at NIC Peshawar, they had already developed an online platform but were unable to identify sustainable revenue streams as well as scale-up strategies. Their Coach, Sayyed Ahmad Masud, worked very hard with the founders to identify the key challenges and solutions over the period of time. The milestones achieved by Franchise.Pk over the short period of last year and a half, shows the sheer commitment of the founders and of the team and coaches at NIC Peshawar. USAID SMEA Program which funds innovative impactful businesses, is funding Franchise.Pk to conduct roadshows in four major cities of Pakistan. They have generated more than 4000 leads connecting investors with brands both nationally and internationally. The founders also launched their magazine recently to disseminate the information regarding the franchisers and franchisees. With the persistence and commitment, this startup will rock the entrepreneurial eco-system in Pakistan in near future.
